Rajat Marwadi Ji

Philosophy

Meet Your Founder of Veerbhadra Yogalaya and your Philosophy Teacher Rajat Marwadi Ji. He was born in the lap of the Himalayas, where he grew up. At the age of 14, he moved to Rishikesh with his family to Rishikesh, the world’s yoga capital, where the sacred Ganges and vibrant spiritual energy inspired him even more.

Rather than following traditional teachers, Rajat Ji’s greatest guru has always been nature itself. The mountains, rivers, and skies became his classroom, teaching him the quiet wisdom of balance, strength, and flow. He also finds deep guidance in Lord Veerbhadra, the powerful form of Lord Shiva. The essence of Veerbhadra – strength, courage, and fierce devotion – profoundly influences Rajat Ji’s teaching and approach to life.

At Veerbhadra Yogalaya, Rajat Ji teaches with a sense of connection to the natural world and the divine. His philosophy is simple yet profound: by tuning into nature and aligning with its rhythm, we can find balance within ourselves. His classes encourage students to embrace the lessons that the world around us offers, fostering personal growth, mindfulness, and a deep sense of unity with the world and ourselves.

Shubham Uniyal

Pranyama, Shatkarma , Meditation

Meet Shubham Uniyal Ji, one of the most approachable and down-to-earth teachers at Veerbhadra Yogalaya. Born and raised in Rishikesh, the yoga capital of the world, he’s always been surrounded by the spiritual energy of this sacred town. Even though Shubham Ji pursued and completed his Bachelor’s in Business Administration, he felt a deeper connection to yoga that he couldn’t ignore.

Shubham Ji teaches Hatha Yoga, Shatkarma, and Pranayama at the school, and his classes reflect his journey—balancing modern life with ancient practices. His Hatha Yoga sessions are all about helping you build strength and flexibility while keeping your mind centered. When he teaches Shatkarma, the yogic cleansing techniques, you can feel his passion for making sure his students feel purified and refreshed both physically and mentally. And then there’s Pranayama, where he brings in his calm, patient energy to help you connect with your breath and find inner peace.

He’s not just a teacher; Shubham Ji is the kind of person who really cares about your personal growth, making his classes feel more like a journey you’re both on together. Even though he had the option of following a typical business career, his decision to return to yoga shows just how much he’s dedicated to sharing the practice that has always been a part of his life.

Chirag Bhatt

Yoga Anatomy and Physiology

Meet Chirag Bhatt, our Yoga Anatomy and Physiology teacher at Veerbhadra Yogalaya. Originally from Pauri, Uttarakhand, Chirag Ji’s life took an unexpected turn when he moved to Rishikesh for his studies. After finishing his graduation here, he went on to pursue a master’s degree in Yogic Sciences, which laid the foundation for his deep understanding of yoga. But before diving fully into the yoga world, Chirag Ji actually worked in the corporate sector at an IT firm.

Eventually, though, he realized that the corporate world wasn’t where his heart truly was, and yoga called him back. Now, Chirag Ji brings his unique background to teaching anatomy and physiology at our school. His classes are all about bridging the gap between the scientific side of the human body and the spiritual practice of yoga. He’s really great at making complex ideas about muscles, joints, and systems easy to understand for us students.

With his guidance, we not only learn how to do the poses correctly but also how to protect ourselves from injury by understanding what’s happening inside our bodies. Chirag Ji’s practical yet mindful approach has helped many of us become more aware of our practice, both physically and mentally. It’s inspiring to learn from someone who blends modern knowledge with traditional yogic wisdom so seamlessly.

Our Teaching Philosophy

Our teaching methodology at Veerbhadra Yogalaya is based on the eternal knowledge of traditional yoga, blended with a kind approach that respects each student’s unique path. We consider yoga to be an overall practice that benefits the body, mind, and spirit—not just a set of physical poses.

Tradition and Modern Understanding

Our teaching approach combines a solid understanding of the human body with modern anatomical insights and age-old Hatha, Ashtanga, and Vinyasa yoga. By respecting yoga’s authenticity and making it applicable to contemporary society.

Experience-Based Learning

We place a high value on experiential learning. We believe that practicing mindfulness, self-control, and compassion both on and off the mat is the most effective way to teach yoga. We offer lots of opportunities for practical modifications, feedback, and self-exploration in our interactive classes.

A Compassionate and Nonjudgmental Atmosphere

We promote an atmosphere that is encouraging and welcoming so that every student  feels heard and respected. Our educators are committed to fostering an environment that is safe for learning, encouraging students to accept their bodies, acknowledging their limitations, and celebrating their accomplishments.

Holistic Approach: Going Beyond Asanas

Our pedagogical approach transcends just physical alignment. Breathwork, meditation, philosophy, and lifestyle habits that promote balance and self-awareness are all incorporated. We help our students gain a better understanding of who they are and how to apply yoga principles to their everyday lives.

Establishing a Community of Learners for Life

Yoga, in our opinion, is a lifetime path of education and self-discovery. Our instruction fosters a feeling of community in which both teachers and students can grow and learn from one another. As they advance in their practice, we want our students to maintain an open mind and a curious heart.
